Less than 6 weeks left ...

... which is why I figure I've gotten so slack with the updates! I've actually been waiting to get some of our photos put on CD in order to post them. A friend Amy works with took this great shots of all of us and I wanted to put some up. They turned out great.

As for pregnancy update, I've had some braxton hicks, mostly at night, and some bits of mucus plug fall out .. but no baby yet! I would love to share the mucus plug story but I think it would make Amy cry again. You really had to be there!

We were suppose to go to prenatal classes this weekend (JJ's idea) but unfortunately (can you see my tears) he's ended up with this awful cold and has been barred from all pregnant meetings. I'm hoping he'll be well enough for the hospital tour on Monday night, that I am actually interested in going to. The prenatal classes just don't excite me really, I'm not much of a "group games" sort of person.

We are just about ready for baby to arrive. We have somewhat of a diaper bag put together. My hospital bag almost filled. Crib, bassinet, high chair, bouncy/vibrating chair, playpen .. all spread throughout the house and just waiting for a baby. All I need now is the breastpump and we're done! Oh yes and of course the van/suv. No we still haven't bought anything yet. We go back and forth on what we want, then by the time we find it, we change our minds again. I have given up on this one and have decided to let JJ just go buy something himself. As long as we all fit in it, it makes no difference to me.

Hope all in the family is doing well out there ... I'll try and get those pics up as soon as I get them on the 'puter.

Baby visit

We went to visit Henry and April this weekend .. well secretly we just went to visit their kids but we said hi to them while we were there. We were all very excited about seeing the baby.

We slept in the room with the baby in her crib. I was a little worried we'd both sleep right through her crying but we didn't. The second she started to stir JJ and I popped up and just watched her for a while. What a cutie she was, playing shy at first and then putting her arms out to get picked up out of her crib.

At one point in the weekend she managed to get into some ink while nobody was looking and covered herself and the light pink carpet in nice blues, reds and greens. If only I had remembered my camera. As funny as it was .. I started to panic, just a little. What have I gotten myself into? Then she looks up at you and laughs because she thinks she's hillarious for making such a colourful masterpiece on herself, the walls and the carpet .. you truly can't help but laugh.

While she was eating supper and throwing pees everywhere I wonder how long it took for the novelty of watching her to wear off. Will I still find it as funny when it is my baby throwing pees all over my house and I have to clean it. I'm hoping I will still find it a little funny even though it comes with a lot of work.

It was just so amazing to watch her. So innocent, learning new stuff all the time, trying to master the art of walking and talking. She was just incredible to watch. Thanks for the great weekend guys!!

60 days to go and counting ...

Don't you agree I'm starting to look a little pointy?

I find I look slender in this one ... well not like "you can see my abs" slender bit certainly skinnier than when I'm standing sideways
