Well Christmas went off without a hitch. I had enough food to feed a small army and my final attempt at a cake was successful, or well they keep telling me it was good. They may have just said that out of fear that I break out my mixer right in the middle of Christmas dinner!

Ahh all over, time to put away the apron for another year .. but seriously, next mom Christmas is at your house this way too much work for me ... but hey I'll bring the beer!

I can't write much things are just crazy right now and to top it off the computer is broke so I can't upload all the crazy pics we've taken over the last few days.

Christmas concerts are all over - YAY! - However their outfits cost me a fortune, I'm sure this is one time it would be easier if I had boys!

The tree is up and looks better than ever .. also JJ fixed up all the lights on the house and now they look great, he also added some crazy huge blow up snowman .. I really can't wait to post the pic of that one.

Uncle Henry and April were up with the girls and we had a great visit and Meaghan's surprise party went off without a hitch! I love seeing all the girls play together. Then April and I took some much needed time to finish off some shopping and left the guys with all the kids. I think that was my favourite part of the weekend.

I tried to make the Yule Log and even though it was beautiful, and I do have pics to prove it, it truly tasted awful. Comments about eating toothpaste were mentioned, mind you Caitlynn loves it! I think it had something to do with the bottle of peppermkint extract I dropped in the icing, but I had already started over a few times and just couldn't bring myself to start again. I'm going to attempt a raspberry swirl cheesecake for desert instead. Wish me luck as I'm still cooking and need all the help I can get!

Joeye has started saying Mama. JJ will tell her to repeat Dada and she says Mama, I think she's teasing him really.

Ohh one final thought, most Christmas cards hit the mail ... they are not fancy and in fact all I took the time to write was our names inside, but this is a huge improvement from last year .. trust me. Well put it this way, these are actually the cards you were suppose to get last year, but don't worry it has this years picture inside.

Love ya all ... I hope to update one more time before Christmas with some of the pictures! Incase I don't ... you are all in my thoughts this holiday season and in my heart. Wish we could all be together this holiday season ... Merry Christmas!!!!

Every year we sleep at moms house for Christmas Eve. Everyone together that's the way we like it. We eat, we have drinks, we open one special present from mom (which is always pj's) and then we crash ... we pull out the couch, we put sleeping bags on the floor, we sleep in the tub if we have too (poor Derek, always trying to hide from moms snoring). Get ready for it ... this year we are doing it at my house. I have a lot to live up to. Mom is always the best host and now I have to take my turn. There's lots to be done .. decorating, baking! I'm attempting to make a yule log, a peppermint one at that .. can someone tell me how to fold in eggs. I mean who can fold eggs, its liquid. Apparently Martha Stewart is amazing, she even knows how to fold eggs. I can certainly fold a mean napkin .. but eggs??? Not to mention who really has all those crazy attachments for the mixer?? Ok I have to go figure out how to crush candy canes now. HELP!!!!

How can NS Power be asking for a raise? The very first snow of the year and of course we lose power. Friday night until Sunday morning we huddled in the living room with blankets closing off the room to try to keep the heat in that our poor decorative fireplace was trying its very hardest to put off. In the end we did stay almost warm, well we didn't freeze anyway.

Xerox Christmas party was fun as always, but I think the reality of not being 25 anymore has really sunk in. Although we danced and had a few drinks and it was a great time .. we didn't do shots, we didn't mix different types of liquor and name it after ourselves ... just sad, I guess those days are gone. I'm afraid to say it, but maybe I'm a grown up now! How sad. I guess a new more mature chapter of my life .. haha .. can you hear me laughing I can't even type that with a straight face. So here's the pics .. Oh yes and also Amy's new "friend" ... you'll have to get her for the definition of friend.
