A new blog added

I've decided to start another blog just for videos. It just makes it easier for JJ to find all in one place. That is if he ever finds an internet cafe in his travels to be able to view them. If anybody wants to check out the latest video blog though:

Nothing much else to update really. Same old thing as usual except now you can add chasing Joeye to my list of daily chores. She's now moved on from crawling to standing up on the furniture and using the ottoman to help her get around the livingroom.

Oh and I got an 81% on my Stats midterm .. yay for me. I celebrated by skipping out on the last half hour of my class!

Our weekend visitors

April, Henry and the gang were up so we could work on wedding stuff. April also brought along her sister for the fun ... so of course I spent two days scrubbing my house. You know to leave that impression. It's not like the house is a pit or anything but when someone new is coming over you always take out the toothbrush to clean the stairs .. I'm sure I burned off a good pound or two. It was actually a good thing I got all the cleaning done though because JJ's mom will be flying in soon and we don't want her thinking things are falling apart.

So back to our visit ... it was alot of fun having the gang up as always. It was nice to get the dresses all dealt with for the wedding but it would have been smart of us to take pictures. I guess it's just as well now we have an element of suspense since we can't show anyone the dresses! I will however post the dress mom made for Maddy and as you can see Maddy doesn't seem to like it quite as much as the rest of us ...

We had another funny moment .. thank you Maddy for being so entertaining .. she tried to eat Cait's fish. I wish I would have been fast enough to get a picture of her with her hand in the tank but all I got was the mess that was left behind .. and can you believe the fish survived ...

It was a great weekend guys .. hope to have you up again soon, actually we will. See you in April and we won't say who else will be here but you know!

Spring break continues ...

I have to say it has been really nice atleast not having to worry about homework this week. It has given me the chance to get caught up on a few things around the house.

So I've been researching non-stop about how to post little videos, with a little bit of help from google and a little bit of help from Henry I think I've got it ... check out the link below to find a slightly out-dated video of Joeye learning to stand in her crib.

You can preview file now, clicking the link below:

Someone please let me know if you can see this.

On a sad note, the firewall on the boat won't let JJ see it. Sorry babe I tried.

Another new thing this week .. anyone who knows Cait knows exactly where to find her once her homework is done after school, right in front of the tv watching the family channel. Well it looks like she may have recruited a friend ....

Can life get any busier?

Honestly how do people do this stuff .. work, school, keep up the house, watch the baby .. ahh I swear some days I could pull my hair right out, but instead, I just went and got it cut. I was actually just looking for a trim and they cut off a bunch of it. Oh well, it actually seems to have helped a bit because now Joeye can't get handfuls of it quite as easily. I would post a picture of me and my "new do" but then you would see the age in my face and the bags under my eyes. Honestly it looks like I haven't slept in a week .. actually it even feels like I haven't slept in a week. I have my midterm tonight, so I've been trying to fit the studying in. Once again we had another snow storm, but luckily mom and Derek came to plow me out once again (thanks guys!). The sink where my washers drains seems to be clogged so now I can only wash like three pairs a pants at a time until I can figure out how to unclog it and well we make way more dirty laundry than that. Derek is giving me a snake to try and fix the clog .. let's hope the snake doesn't get loose or that will be just one more problem to deal with. Don't worry I will get Kelsey to take pictures this should be a funny one. To top it all Joeye has realized she can crawl straight out of rooms now .. something I was dreading. Of course what is the first thing she goes for when she leaves the living room for the first time .....

THE STAIRS .. AHHH ... I didn't have time to take the last picture which is of her standing on the bottom stair holding onto the bars of the gate. Somehow I have to cover the bars so she can't use them to grip on, well that or cover the whole middle level of the house in those foamy blocks from Toys R Us because she's already fallen off the step twice and she only just learned to climb yesterday. I knew this day was coming when she would start exploring more. I sooo should have been more prepared.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone ... and a big old thank you to my darling husband who made sure I had lots of rose and lots of chocolates today! I love you ... your box is coming I swear!

Is it time yet ... trying to fight the guilt.

Is it time to wean? I have been struggling with this for some time now. In the last month I've started to give Joeye some homogenized milk with breastmilk in her bottles that she gets during the day. At first just a drop and now maybe about 1/4 of her bottle is homogenized. She has taken to it very well. Sometimes at night I give her a bottle of just homogenized milk and then she sleeps through the night like a baby with a full tummy. I decided to use homogenized milk instead of the formula because I didn't want to have to switch her again to homogenized in a month or so, I thought it would be too much switching. She's now eating a full day of solids, cereal and fruit or yogurt for breakfast, either pasta or meat and veggies with some sort of dessert for lunch and the same for supper. Sometimes before bed she gets a little more cereal if I think she's hungry and throughout the day she eats a little shredded cheese, sometimes some toast and always a Baby Mummum here and there. Also I have read a few breastfeeding websites that say as long as she's getting breastmilk with the vitamins she needs during the day it is okay to give her some homogenized milk. Can you hear my guilt? However I think it's almost time. I have been pumping at work five days a week for the last 8 months, and truly I want to stop ... but for some reason the guilt won't let me do it. I realisticly can't breastfeed her forever, well I guess I could but I don't want to. I knew the day would come when I would struggle with this. I would like to stop the pumping during the day. I will continue to feed her after work and in the middle of the night. How long do I continue to do that? I think I will continue to make sure she gets some breastmilk until she's 9 months ... which will be in about 3 weeks. After that who knows, but that was the goal I set when she was born. I wanted to nurse her until 9 months and then switch her to breastmilk. Is it really okay for me to stop feeding my baby her "booba". All my reasons for stopping seem selfish to me. I want to try and lose 15 pounds and as long as I'm nursing I'm not suppose to do that. Also I've grown very sensitive again, almost like the feeling is coming back. So what do I do?

I'm sorry for all the family reading this that was excited about an update and got a whole post on boobs ...

Can you find the monkey in the middle?

Steve took this picture of babes and sent it along to me at work. Steve, being Nicole's husband, Nicole being Joeye's homesitter.

Life continues to be busy. I have been working hard at trying to figure out how to get video posted on the site but well it just isn't working yet. Actually I'm still working on the stage of figuring out how to take a small piece of video out of the whole file. Then I can go on to figuring out how to post it. I think I'm going to go visit Henry and April this weekend so hopefully he'll be able to help! Actually I'm sure he'll be able to help! All the computer brains went to one section of the family.

Hope all is well with everyone out there!
