Whatever happened to my ballerina

You knew eventually his influence and love for hockey would wear off on one of my ballerinas. Look at the smile on her face when she put on her first pair of "Boy Skates" so she can go play hockey. I guess we'll be hanging up our tutu for now.

I'm very sorry to have to inform you that at the time I saw that same look on the face of, first my 6 year old, then my 8 year old, I was not prepared for the ultimate outcome. Should you decide to indeed get rid of the tutu, then take heed. Travel hockey may not be far away, the tub of "Hockey Parent Kool Aid" will be offered to you and you may fall in with a new set of people. Thankfully, you are in a climate, both temperate wise and culturally so as to support this madness. I can provide guidance if necessary. It's been many years, but now Daughter #1, plays DIII College Hockey in upstate NY and daughter #2 is starting to be recruited. I know the look. Really.

Hehe thanks for the warning. Honestly I think I can see the look in her eye. This is not a phase, perhaps I should just give in to it and hang up the slippers in exchange for shoulder pads!
